Deleting your data
The Slate Cinema platform — operated by Slate Cinema Inc · Last updated 18 August 2026
Slate Cinema is the platform Slate Cinema Inc uses to schedule and publish social media content to accounts that client businesses own and have connected to us. This page explains how to revoke that access and have the data we hold for your account deleted.
Fastest route: email
info@slatecinema.com with the subject line
Data deletion request and the handle or Page name of the account. We confirm within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
Step 1 — revoke our access
Revoking access stops any further publishing or reading immediately. Do this from your own account, on the platform itself:
- Facebook and Instagram: in your Meta Business Suite, go to Business settings → Partners, select Slate Cinema, and choose Remove partner. If you connected an Instagram account directly, you can also remove the app under Settings → Apps and websites.
- YouTube: go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, select Slate Cinema, and choose Remove access.
- TikTok: in the TikTok app, go to Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions and remove the app.
- X: go to x.com/settings/connected_apps, select the app, and choose Revoke app permissions.
You can also simply ask us to disconnect the account and we will do it for you.
Step 2 — request deletion
Email info@slatecinema.com from an address associated with the account, or ask your Slate Cinema account manager. Tell us:
- The business name;
- The account handle, Page name or channel the request covers (or "all accounts");
- Whether you want the published-post history deleted as well as the stored content and access tokens.
What gets deleted
- The access tokens issued for your accounts, removed from our encrypted vault;
- Your connected-account records — identifiers, handles, profile pictures;
- Uploaded media, captions, drafts and scheduled posts held for your account;
- Publishing and approval records, and the performance statistics we retrieved for your posts.
What we may keep, and why
- Content already published lives on the social platform itself, on your account. Deleting our records does not remove it — you control those posts, and can delete them on the platform.
- Invoices and accounting records, which we are required to retain by law.
- Work delivered under a production agreement that separately permits portfolio use, where that has been agreed in writing with you.
Timing
We acknowledge every request within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, then confirm in writing. If any part of a request cannot be completed we will say which part and why.
